Re: Re: natural selection
``-_-´´ is right,
1. We judge morality because morality does not have to be based in religion, and it is everyones DUTY what ever their religious/non beliefs to have morals of some sort and speak their mind without fear of rebuke. Intelligent, rational, logical people will understand that freedom of speech is one of the most fundamental and necessary rights.
2. Secondly, Natural selections is not necessarily "survival of the fittest" as all the ignorant people think. It is a theory which states (in lay-mans terms) - survival of those beings which are most fit for a certain environment; and in so doing shifting the population genus curve for their species. Over time, this will lead to the creation of entirely new species which are uncapable of mating with the population of former-same species they were seperated from thousands of years ago. This is the theory on how new species come about. ((Important part)) But remember, the earth is in constant flux. The beings dominating the earth at one point, will surely not be dominating the earth forever. Because forever is a very very long time.
3. My own point: I think that retaining the ancient ways of hunting are very imortant to our future and that the best way to retain them is to pass them from one generation to the next. Therefore, I am not damning all killing in a general sweep. There are tradition forms of hunting which I believe show respect and honor to the sacraficed animal.
4. With this still in mind, I am making a MORAL JUDGMENT that running around killing helpless creatures for the hell of it is WRONG.

Re: natural selection
They don`t kill for the fur, they kill for joy, it`s tourism. Please read up on the subject before commenting. They don`t need to kill those seals in order to survive, hence it isn`t natural selection. You are not making any sense.

natural selection
It`s really humorous to find all these different posts on this website of atheists saying that there isn`t a god and then they try to apply morality to killing seals for fur. If there is no God, there is no morality because there`s no sin, there`s no right or wrong. How does human compassion weigh in to survival. Where in our evolution did withholding from killing baby seals help the human race survive? Did we suddenly think a baby buffalo was cute and so we went hungry for it. This is all the more reason that the contradictory posts on here are pretty stupid.
